Recovery Centers of Carolina (RCC): Drug Rehabilitation That Meets Real Life
Recovery isn’t a moment—it’s a practice. At Recovery Centers of Carolina (RCC), our drug rehabilitation program is built around that truth. We combine evidence-based treatment with practical supports, so progress isn’t a burst of willpower but a routine you can repeat on ordinary days.
Start with Clarity, Not Pressure
Your first call is confidential and judgment-free. Our admissions team listens, verifies insurance, explains levels of care in plain language, and helps you choose a start date that respects work, school, and family commitments. You’ll know what to bring, what the first week looks like, and how we’ll tailor your plan—before you walk through the door.
A Plan Designed for You
Every client begins with a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment covering health history, substance use patterns, mental health, strengths, barriers, and goals. Using that picture, we craft an individualized treatment plan that evolves over time. RCC offers a full continuum of care—medically supervised detox and stabilization (when appropriate), Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and structured aftercare—so support scales with your needs instead of forcing your life to fit a rigid program.
Therapies with Proven Results
Our clinicians draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thought loops, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, Motivational Interviewing to strengthen internal motivation, and relapse-prevention planning to map triggers and concrete coping strategies. You’ll work through a balanced mix of individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducation, and—when helpful—family sessions that rebuild trust and communication at home.
Medication Support—When It Helps
For opioid and alcohol use disorders, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) can reduce cravings and stabilize brain chemistry. If MAT is right for you, our medical team provides careful evaluation, education, and ongoing monitoring—and always pairs medication with therapy and skills training. The goal isn’t to “swap one substance for another,” but to create a safer foundation for change.
Treating Mental Health and Substance Use Together
Many clients arrive with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, grief, or sleep challenges alongside substance use. RCC integrates co-occurring mental health care into your plan—coordinating psychiatry, therapy, and (when appropriate) medication management—so healing isn’t fragmented across different providers. Integrated care improves outcomes and helps you feel better sooner.
Skills That Travel with You
Sustainable recovery is built on structure. We coach sleep hygiene, nutrition, stress management, time and money management, and communication skills. We offer vocational and academic support—résumé refresh, interview practice, return-to-work planning—so life after treatment is not a cliff but a bridge. Before discharge, you’ll leave with a written aftercare plan: follow-up appointments scheduled, peer-support meetings identified, and early-warning strategies rehearsed.
Access and Respect
Expect privacy, transparent costs, and flexible scheduling, including telehealth where appropriate. We provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+-affirming care, as well as veteran-aware services. After primary treatment, alumni groups, peer mentorship, and optional ongoing therapy keep you connected to a community that understands the journey and celebrates every win.
