Recovery doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it happens in the middle of jobs, families, bills, and big emotions. Recovery Centers of Carolina is built for that reality. We combine evidence-based treatment with clear communication and steady encouragement, so change feels doable on hard days and sustainable on good ones.
From your first confidential call, our admissions team focuses on straight answers and simple next steps. We verify insurance, explain levels of care in plain language, and coordinate a start date that works with your schedule. You’ll know what to bring, what to expect on day one, and how we’ll personalize your plan.
Every client begins with a thorough bio-psycho-social assessment covering health history, substance use patterns, mental health, strengths, and goals. Using that picture, we create a custom treatment plan that adjusts as you progress. Our continuum includes detox and stabilization (when appropriate), Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and structured aftercare. Step-down levels let you practice new skills while support stays in place.
Our clinicians use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thought patterns; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to manage emotions and tolerate distress; Motivational Interviewing to strengthen your reasons to change; and relapse-prevention planning to map triggers and build concrete coping strategies. You’ll engage in a balanced mix of individual sessions, group therapy, and family work, turning insight into action.
For opioid and alcohol use disorders, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) can reduce cravings and stabilize brain chemistry. If MAT is right for you, our medical team provides careful evaluation, education, and monitoring—and always pairs medication with therapy and skills training for full-person recovery.
Many clients arrive with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, sleep problems, or grief alongside substance use. We screen and treat co-occurring conditions in the same plan, coordinating psychiatry, therapy, and (when appropriate) medication management. Integrated care improves outcomes and helps you feel better sooner.
Recovery thrives on routine and capacity. We coach sleep, nutrition, stress management, time management, and budgeting, and we offer vocational/academic guidance so returning to work or school feels realistic. Before discharge, you’ll leave with a written aftercare and relapse-prevention plan—appointments scheduled, supports identified, and early-warning strategies rehearsed.
Substance use affects the whole household. Our family programming teaches communication skills, healthy limits, and how to spot relapse warning signs. Loved ones learn to be supportive partners in recovery without taking on the entire burden.
We offer pragmatic scheduling, help with transportation options, and telehealth where appropriate. After you complete primary treatment, alumni groups, peer mentorship, and ongoing therapy options keep you connected to people who understand the journey.
Expect a judgment-free environment, clear costs, and a team that speaks with you—not at you. We measure success by more than negative tests: steadier moods, healthier routines, stronger relationships, and renewed purpose.
